One of my favorite things when it comes to traveling? Trying all the delicious food!
Here is a “highlight reel,” if you will, of some of my favorite places to eat in Sedona, Arizona. Just the ones I would write home about them or now, write on this blog!
ELOTE CAFE ($$-$$$)
It’s a very popular Mexican/Southwestern restaurant and one of the best places to eat in Sedona.
Their Elote corn is a must-try as a starter. Order a specialty drink, like the Prickly Pear margarita (which includes mezcal). You’ll be happy that you did! We ordered the brisket enchiladas and carne asada- they were both excellent! It was the best meal that we had during our time in Sedona. If you’re a foodie, I think you will love it.
Helpful Tip:
They are so popular that they require reservations, be sure to book yours in advance to not miss out on this one!
COFFEE POT RESTAURANT ($$-$$$)
If you love breakfast food, you can’t miss coming to this casual spot. They serve 101 omelets! But their menu is HUGE with a wide selection of other food options, not just omelets. They have something for everyone!
We came here after a long day of hiking to refuel, and their portion sizes did not disappoint! They also leave an entire pot of coffee and a pitcher of water at the table, which is nice.
Note: This is a popular place to eat in Sedona, so come ready for a bit of a wait.
WILDFLOWER BREAD COMPANY ($$-$$$)
We came here for lunch after our Pink Jeep Tour since it’s across the street.
This place is similar to Panera Bread but a bit yummier. It’s a good place for soups, salads, and plates of pasta. Everything we tried tasted very fresh, we enjoyed it.
BUTTERFLY BURGER ($$-$$$)
The restaurant is an upscale burger restaurant- very dark with a club/lounge vibe. Their burgers were good- some have even won awards. What stole the show for me were their yuca fries!
The yuca fries are an extra cost as a side dish, but it’s a more unique option than your regular potato fries. These were delicious and worth every penny!
Their Blueberry Lavender Milkshake called “Lavender Love” was also amazing! I opted for the non-alcoholic version, but you can go ahead and get crazy if you want to! They even garnish it with a pretty flower.
And lastly…ALL THINGS PRICKLY PEAR!
The Prickly Pear fruit comes from Prickly Pear Cacti commonly found in Arizona. Their fruits are used in jams, syrups, candy, and even drinks!
I highly recommend that you try it as it’s a local specialty.
I saw them in many souvenir shops and restaurant menus as specialty Prickly Pear cocktails. We bought jams and honey jars to take home as gifts for our family. We ended up keeping more than a few for ourselves. It’s just that good!
