Sedona is filled with so much natural beauty and many fun outdoor activities, that it is hard not to fall in love with this small city in Arizona. The red rocks are purely magical, especially at sunrise and sunset!
Here are some of the top things to see and do in Sedona, Arizona!
Go Hiking
There are many hiking trails in Sedona that can reward you with gorgeous views of the red rocks, but my top recommendation is to get an early start and watch the sunrise from Devil’s Bridge.
It is pretty iconic – so it’s definitely a must-see if you’re in Sedona, Arizona especially at sunrise!
Be sure to start your hike VERY early to avoid the crowds, because it is a very popular hike.

If you’re looking for easy paved trails and a more relaxing day of exploring, check out the Crescent Moon recreation area. Here you can get nice views of the Cathedral Rock and also enjoy a picnic next to a peaceful stream. There are picnic tables set up along the trails, so it’s very easy to do.
There is an entrance fee of $11 per car at the pay booth and be sure to have cash on hand as they don’t accept credit cards.
Reward yourself after a long day of hiking and head to The Coffee Pot for breakfast or lunch.

Shop in Uptown Sedona
There are tons of art galleries and unique gift shops in Uptown Sedona. We walked around Uptown Sedona, and I won’t lie, it’s very touristy. But, it was the ideal place to purchase gifts to take back home with us. We also found some cool souvenirs for ourselves.
Take a Scenic Drive
Sedona is so beautiful that it’s a lot of fun to just take it slow and drive around different roads to enjoy all of the beauty! If you like “Peanuts”, look out for Snoopy Rock! That’s right, this rock formation is named after the famous “Peanuts” character!
Snoopy is lying down. You can see his head is on the left, and on the right are his feet pointing upwards. This was such a cool find while we drove around!
After an afternoon of exploring, treat yo’ self to a nice dinner at Elote Cafe. It’s not a cheap dinner option, but it’s worth it. Be sure to try their Elote corn appetizer and yummy drinks!

Go Four-Wheeling on Top of the Red Rocks
The Pink Jeep Tour was hands down, our favorite activity in Sedona. It was so much fun! If you’re interested in taking a tour of the Red Rocks, let it be this one. Their most popular tour is the Broken Arrow tour, and I HIGHLY recommend it. There’s a reason why it’s considered one of the top things to do in Sedona, so put it on your list!

After the Pink Jeep tour, head across the street to eat at Wildflower Bread Cafe. It’s similar to a Panera Bread; a casual spot with really fresh salads, sandwiches, and pasta.

Day Trip to the Grand Canyon National Park
Sedona is a great base for exploring Arizona because many areas are within easy reach.
My top pick for a day trip is The Grand Canyon National Park (South Rim).
The Grand Canyon is one of the world’s seven natural wonders of the world, so it would be a shame to not to see it while you’re in Arizona! The drive time from Sedona to the Grand Canyon South Rim is only about 2 1/2 hours.
If you’re staying overnight, I recommend staying at El Tovar Hotel. The rooms are VERY tiny and basic, but the location can’t be beaten! It’s located directly on the South Rim of the Grand Canyon, so you get spectacular views of the canyon as soon as you walk outside!
