Glamping Packing List for Your Postcard Cabins Getaway

A few years ago, I stayed at a Postcard Cabins location near Dallas with my pup, Zoey. We hiked, snacked, and snuggled the whole weekend.

After recharging in nature and breathing in the fresh air, I felt ready to take on the new year.

I definitely recommend packing your bags and heading to a tiny cabin, turn off your phone, unplug, and relax!

I’ve put together a list of glamping packing list to help you prep for your own getaway. The Postcard Cabins have most of what you need, so you won’t have to overpack.

No need for Bear Grylls survival mode…just a few essentials to make your trip comfy and fun!

Tips Before You Go:

1. Don’t overpack; the space is small so go MINIMAL
2. I recommend a backpack and a weekend bag because there isn’t room in the cabins for large suitcases.
3. Bring food but don’t overcomplicate it with tons of ingredients.
4. Download map on phone and also print it in case of no cell service.

What to Pack For Your Stay

The Essentials

1. Comfy lounging clothes
2. Athletic gear for nearby hikes
3. Durable shoes for outside
4. Pajamas
5. Indoor slippers (to avoid bringing dirt inside)
6. Toiletries (tooth paste, tooth brush – skip the shampoo, conditioner, and body wash, they’re provided)
7. Food (they have some for sale, but I recommend bringing your own to cook)
8. Beverages (water, milk, wine, whatever you fancy)
9. Cooler with ice for drinks and food
10. Coffee maker & coffee grinds (because, honestly, coffee is a must!)

For Entertainment

1. A book
2. A journal
3. Polaroid/camera/tripod for fun photo ops

Outdoor Gear:

1. Headlamp
2. Flashlight
3. Blankets to cozy up by the fire
4. Small backpack for trail walks (to carry water, map, etc.)
5. Extra s’mores supplies (they don’t give you a lot)
6. Aluminum foil for grilling (extra just in case)

Indoor Comforts:

1. Scented candle for relaxation
2. Face mask/skin treatments for pampering time
3. Face towels
4. Cozy socks

Cold Weather Must-Haves:

1. Warm boots
2. Jackets
3. Gloves
4. Hat/beanie
5. Scarf
6. Rain Jacket
7. Fleece leggings
8. Layers! Long sleeves, sweaters or sweatshirts

Warm Weather Essentials:

1. Sunscreen
2. Bug Spray
3. Citronella candles to keep bugs away

For your Pup

1. Dog food
2. Dog treats
3. Dog toy
4. wipes for paws
5. Dog bed or blanket
6. Towels in case it rains
7. Lint roller for bed
8. Collar & leash

*Dog bowls are provided in the cabin but bring a portable dog bowl to take with you on your hikes*
