
If you’re looking for a unique experience this spring, look no further than Texas Tulips the largest tulip farm in Texas! Located in Pilot Point, just about an hour north of Dallas. The farm has a beautiful variety of tulips that you can pick right from the field and take home with you. It’s a must-see spring event, but it doesn’t last long, so be sure to check the dates for this year, or read on to get ready for next season!

When to Visit
The farm is only open during the tulip bloom season, which usually ends at the end of March or early April, depending on the weather. This year, Texas Tulips opened on March 1st, so make sure to plan your visit before the season ends!

How it Works
Visiting Texas Tulips is simple:
- Admission: Pay an entrance fee when you arrive.
- Basket & Tulips: Once inside, grab a basket and explore the fields to hand-pick your favorite tulips.
- Pricing: Head to the cash registers to pay for your flowers, they charge $3 for each stem.
- Checkout: After selecting your flowers, the staff members will wrap them in paper and put gel at the base of the flowers to keep them fresh for the journey home.

- Pick flowers, of course! The highlight of your visit is hand-picking the gorgeous tulips!
- Take photos: Don’t forget to capture the flowers, they are the perfect backdrop to your photos.
- Picnic: Grab some snacks from the concession stand and enjoy them at one of the picnic tables around the farm.

Tips for Best Experience
- Dress comfortably: Since you’ll be walking through the fields, wear comfortable shoes and ones you don’t mind getting a little dirty.
- Weekdays for less crowds: The weekends tend to be the busiest time, so if you can, visit during the week for a more relaxed experience, especially if you want to take photos, just like I did!
- Free Parking & Restrooms: Parking is free, and there are porta-potties available.
