I was fortunate to finally visit San Diego, the city appropriately nicknamed “America’s Finest City.”
I spent five days exploring in April, and we had great weather. In fact, weather-wise, San Diego is good to visit at almost any time of the year.
I was advised to stay away during the months of May and June, since they are usually the cloudiest months of the year. These months are commonly referred to by locals as “May Gray” and “June Gloom.”
So, you can’t say you weren’t warned!
But for the most part, San Diego is known for being a sun-seekers paradise!
My favorite things to do in San Diego were relaxing on Coronado Island’s gorgeous beach, exploring the world-famous Balboa Park and the San Diego Zoo, eating my way through Little Italy and Gaslamp Quarter neighborhoods, seeing the La Jolla seals and sea lions soaking up the sun, and watching a sunset on a cliff at Torrey Pines Gliderport.
If you haven’t visited San Diego yet, it’s time to plan a visit!
